TN CM Stalin said 26 MoUs worth Rs 7,020 crore were signed in Germany, creating 15,000 jobs.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, during his visit to Germany as part of a two-nation tour, announced that 26 MoUs worth Rs 7020 crore were signed, which are expected to create over 15000 jobs in the state. He concluded his participation in the TNRising Germany Investment Conclave on Tuesday.
Sharing details on X, Stalin said that the Germany leg of his investment mission ended strongly, with 23 MoUs worth Rs 3819 crore signed at the conclave, set to generate more than 9000 jobs. In total, 26 MoUs valued at Rs 7020 crore were finalised during the visit, promising over 15000 jobs. He highlighted that global leaders from renewable energy, automotive components, and advanced R&D had chosen Tamil Nadu for their next phase of growth.
At the Tamil Nadu Rising Investors Conference, Stalin compared Tamil Nadu to Germany, calling it the “industrial heartbeat of India.” He noted that over 60 German companies, including BMW, Daimler Mercedes-Benz, Siemens, Bosch, Schneider, and ZF, already operate in the state. He said his visit aimed not just at attracting investments but also at strengthening ties between Germany and Tamil Nadu by combining German precision with Tamil Nadu’s potential.
The state government confirmed signing key MoUs with German firms amounting to over Rs 3200 crore in new investments, with the potential to generate nearly 6000 jobs. Knorr-Bremse, a global leader in braking systems, announced a Rs 2000 crore project in Tamil Nadu to set up a modern facility focused on railway doors and braking systems, creating 3500 jobs. The Nordex Group committed Rs 1000 crore to expand wind turbine operations, adding 2500 jobs. ebm-papst revealed plans to invest 201 crore in expanding its Global Capability Centre and manufacturing base, which will create 250 jobs in HVAC, automotive, and industrial applications. During his visit, Stalin also met BMW executives to discuss the state’s automotive and EV strengths. BMW reaffirmed its commitment to Tamil Nadu, pointing to its EV ecosystem and strong industrial base.
