Sean 'Diddy' Combs' trial jury has reached verdicts on four out of the five federal charges brought against him. The 55-year-old founder of Bad Boy Records is facing serious accusations, including racketeering, in a New York court. On Tuesday, July 1, the jury announced they were deadlocked on one of the charges. At 4:05 p.m. local time, the jury sent a note to the judge stating they had agreed on verdicts for counts two through five but were unable to reach a consensus on count one, citing firmly divided opinions among jurors. Count one involves a racketeering conspiracy charge under the RICO Act.

The charges the jury did agree on include offenses involving force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for unlawful purposes. Combs is facing a total of five charges across three separate federal cases. He has pleaded not guilty and denies any wrongdoing. The trial, which began on May 5, included a thorough jury selection process to exclude biased candidates. The final panel consisted of 12 jurors and six alternates. One juror was dismissed during the trial due to concerns about honesty, and an alternate took their place.

Before deliberations started, the judge gave the jury detailed instructions and released the alternates, advising them to remain available if needed. About two hours into deliberations on Tuesday, the jury raised concerns about juror number 25’s ability to follow the court's instructions. The judge urged the jurors to continue their discussions and reminded them to follow the law and his directions. Both the prosecution and defense have asked the judge to instruct the jury to continue deliberating on the unresolved conspiracy charge.
