Actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha fondly remembered the legendary singer and music composer Kishore Kumar on his death anniversary. Taking to his X handle on Monday, Sinha described Kumar as a “complete entertainer and showman” while celebrating the multifaceted artist’s enduring legacy. “Remembering with love and fondness a ‘complete entertainer’/‘showman,’ supremely multi-talented singer, performer, actor, filmmaker, lyricist, musician & whatnot, Kishore Kumar. His vast volumes of evergreen gems are a treasure cherished and loved even today, tomorrow & forever. Long Live Kishore Da!” Sinha wrote.
Born on August 4, 1929, Kishore Kumar was a man of many talents. Beyond being one of the most accomplished singers of his time, he also excelled as a screenwriter, actor, composer, director, and producer. Despite his untimely demise at the age of 58, his memories and music continue to resonate with generations of fans.
Kumar is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most influential, and dynamic singers in the history of modern Indian music. Some of his evergreen hits, including Ek Ladki Bhigi Bhagi Si, Jhoome Re Jhoome, Koi Humdum Na Raha, Kehne Ki Nahin Baat, and Matwale Hum Matwale Suhani, remain beloved classics even today.
