Scientists from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) presented a study to Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan in Dehradun on Thursday, focusing on preserving ecological balance during construction under the Badrinath Corridor Development Project. The Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of such scientific assessments, especially in a mountainous state like Uttarakhand, and directed that the survey findings be verified wherever necessary. On the same day, Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, GOC-in-C of the Central Command, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence.

The Chief Minister also attended inauguration and foundation-laying ceremonies for multiple development projects in Tehri Garhwal. In Ghansali, he laid the foundation for projects worth Rs 41.21 crore, including three completed works valued at Rs 13.43 crore and five new projects worth Rs 27.78 crore. He also initiated the upgradation of the Primary Health Centre in Pilkhi into a Community Health Centre and honoured Krishna Gairola and his family for donating land for the hospital.

Dhami stated that projects should be completed on time without delays and reaffirmed the government’s focus on improving roads, healthcare, and education in hill regions. Later, he also met Governor Gurmit Singh at Lok Bhavan, where they discussed ongoing development works and other key issues concerning the state.
