Actor Sonu Sood conveyed his grief on X, saying, "Heartbroken by the devastating floods and cloudburst in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Prayers for every life affected. The nation must come together — while the government does its part, we as individuals must stand up for every soul who lost a home, a living, a life." Bhumi Pednekar also shared her sorrow, posting, "What’s happening in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand is heartbreaking." Actor Adivi Sesh added his prayers on X, writing, "Praying for #Uttarakhand. The cloudburst on Tuesday triggered flash floods in Uttarkashi, sweeping away houses, shops, and roads, leaving several people missing. Two cloudbursts were reported—one in Dharali and another in Sukhi Top—causing widespread destruction. Dharali was the worst-hit, suffering severe damage from floods and mudslides. The Uttarkashi-Harsil road was completely washed away at Bhatwadi, cutting off access to Harsil through the night. Dharali, located about 50 km from the site, remains one of the most severely affected areas.
