Pak Spy Agency ISI-Backed Alleged Terror Network Busted in Delhi: 7 Arrested

New Delhi
Indian security agencies have reportedly busted an alleged espionage and terror-linked network operating in the capital, with investigators claiming possible links to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Seven individuals have been arrested during coordinated operations conducted across multiple locations in Delhi.
According to preliminary reports from security officials, the group was under surveillance for several weeks before action was taken. The accused are suspected of being part of a coordinated network allegedly involved in intelligence gathering, recruitment, and communication with foreign handlers. Authorities have not yet publicly released detailed identities of those arrested, but sources suggest the module was operating in a compartmentalized structure to avoid detection.
Investigating agencies are examining possible cross-border connections, including alleged communication channels linked to Pakistan-based handlers. Officials have indicated that encrypted messaging platforms and coded communication methods may have been used. However, agencies have clarified that the investigation is ongoing and no final conclusions have been formally announced regarding the extent of foreign involvement.
A senior security official stated that the operation was part of an intensified counter-intelligence drive in the national capital region. Teams from central intelligence units and Delhi Police reportedly coordinated the arrests after months of surveillance and technical monitoring. Electronic devices, documents, and communication equipment have been seized for forensic analysis.
The arrested individuals are currently being interrogated to determine the structure of the alleged network, possible recruitment patterns, funding channels, nature of information allegedly being shared, and any wider domestic or international links. Officials are also probing whether the module had connections to other sleeper cells.
The case has once again highlighted concerns around urban espionage threats in sensitive metropolitan areas like Delhi. Security agencies are expected to tighten surveillance and increase counter-intelligence operations in the coming weeks. Authorities have urged the public not to speculate until official findings are released.
