Another Indian LPG tanker, Nanda Devi, carrying around 46,000 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas, is scheduled to arrive at Vadinar Port in Gujarat on Tuesday, following the arrival of the Indian LPG carrier Shivalik in the country. The Chief Officer of the Nanda Devi said the operation was initiated by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and the Shipping Corporation of India, with support from both the Indian Navy and the Iranian Navy to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

He stated that the cargo of 46,000 metric tonnes of LPG will help support India during the ongoing global crisis caused by tensions and conflict in West Asia. He also expressed gratitude to all the authorities involved in ensuring the vessel safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz and confirmed that the tanker is now on its way to Kandla in Gujarat to deliver the LPG supply.

Nanda Devi is the second LPG carrier to reach India after safely passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The Indian LPG carrier Shivalik arrived at Mundra Port in Gujarat on Monday with around 40,000 metric tonnes of LPG. Out of this, 20,000 metric tonnes will be unloaded at Mundra, while the remaining 26,000 metric tonnes will be transported to Mangalore.

The Indian-flagged vessel Jag Laadki, which departed from the UAE carrying approximately 81,000 tonnes of Murban crude oil, is also safely heading toward India. According to officials, all Indian seafarers currently operating in the Persian Gulf region are safe, and no incidents have been reported in the past 24 hours. At present, 22 Indian-flagged vessels remain in the Persian Gulf, with a total of 611 seafarers on board.
