Every year for National Day, McDonald's Singapore adds a uniquely local flair to its menu with creations like the Nasi Lemak Burger, Ha Cheong Gai Burger, and Satay Burger. This year, to mark SG60, McDonald’s is raising the bar by partnering with renowned Singaporean restaurant Jumbo Seafood. Starting July 10, the two brands will launch the all-new Chilli Crab Sauce Burger, as announced during a press event on July 8.

This marks the first collaboration between McDonald's Singapore and Jumbo Seafood, and it comes with a series of locally inspired food and beverage offerings. The Chilli Crab Sauce Burger will be available in two versions: one with prawn and one with chicken. Both versions will feature fresh lettuce, scrambled egg, and soft brioche buns, all generously topped with a sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy chilli crab sauce.

According to McDonald’s, the sauce was inspired by Jumbo Seafood’s award-winning chilli crab recipe. It has been in development since August 2024, with over 50 recipe variations tested before the final version was approved. Ang Kiam Meng, Executive Chairman and Group CEO of Jumbo Group, expressed excitement about the launch. He said that chilli crab is a beloved national dish and that it was exciting to see it reimagined in such a creative way. He also shared that while Jumbo’s roots lie in tradition, the brand embraces innovation, and this collaboration with McDonald’s is a bold way to showcase their signature dish.

The Chilli Crab Sauce Burgers will be priced from $8.95 for an Extra Value Meal. For fans of the sauce, a standalone Chilli Crab Sauce Tub will also be sold for $1. Alongside the burgers, McDonald’s will introduce other local food-inspired items for the National Day celebration. These include Kampung Drumlets, available from $3.35, which are seasoned with a blend of chilli, turmeric, cumin, and ginger, as well as the Ice Dinosaur, a creative take on Singapore’s popular Milo Dinosaur drink, priced from $4.15.

Returning to the menu are fan favourites like the Pulut Hitam Pie (from $1.80) and the Chendol Cone (from $1.30), adding to the festive spread. As part of the celebration, McDonald’s Singapore will also release a limited-edition thermal insulated lunch bag. Starting from July 28 at 11am, the lunch bag will be available for $7.90 with the purchase of any meal (excluding Happy Meals). McDonald’s app members will get early access on July 24 between 2pm and 6pm and can redeem the bag for 1,500 MyM reward points. The offer will be on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
