Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav assured that farmers would not face any losses.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday reiterated that the state government would make sure no farmer incurs losses and assured compensation in every situation. He also announced the implementation of the Bhavantar Scheme (Price Deficiency Payment Scheme – PDPS) for soybean, underlining the government’s commitment to farmer welfare.
“If any farmer suffers a loss due to Yellow Mosaic Virus or natural calamities, the government will ensure full compensation. Farmers will be protected under all circumstances as our administration is dedicated to their welfare. We have fixed the MSP for soybean at Rs 5,328, and farmers can sell their crops in Mandis after registering them with the government. In case they receive less than the MSP, the difference will be reimbursed by the state,” said CM Yadav.
He further stated that, with the support of the Prime Minister, farmers would not face hardships. Under the Bhavantar Scheme, once registration is completed, any shortfall in selling price below MSP would be directly credited to farmers’ accounts. The Chief Minister added that the registration process would begin soon and recalled that farmers had previously received relief for crop losses, including flood damages. He emphasized that the government consistently stands with farmers during crises, and a survey is currently underway to evaluate losses caused by yellow mosaic disease so that relief can be extended to the affected.
