The Indian Embassy in the UAE expressed sorrow over the death of an Indian national in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, caused by falling debris. The Embassy stated it is working closely with UAE authorities to provide full support and assistance. The Embassy said, "We express our deepest condolences for the tragic death of an Indian national due to falling debris in Abu Dhabi today. The Embassy is coordinating closely with UAE authorities to provide all possible support."

The deceased was one of two individuals who lost their lives following a ballistic missile interception over Abu Dhabi on Thursday. The Abu Dhabi Media Office, in a separate X post, explained that the fatalities resulted from debris falling after a ballistic missile was successfully intercepted by air defence systems.

The incident claimed the lives of two people, one Indian and one Pakistani, and injured three others—Emirati, Jordanian, and Indian—with injuries ranging from serious to moderate. Authorities urged the public to rely only on official information and avoid spreading rumors or unverified news.

The deadly impact became evident after debris struck a busy road, Sweihan Street, causing the deaths and injuries. Emergency services were quickly dispatched to assist the victims and clear the wreckage, which also affected several vehicles. While the missile was successfully neutralized, the falling fragments over a populated area caused significant harm and distress.
