Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister unveils the "Padhai with AI" application.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday inaugurated the Bilaspur district administration’s new initiative, ‘Padhai with AI’, at Barthin. According to an official statement, the AI-powered digital learning platform has been launched to support students in Bilaspur who are preparing for various competitive examinations.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said education goes beyond completing a syllabus and plays a vital role in shaping minds, guiding society, and building the future of coming generations. He added that the state government views education as a key instrument of social change and is continuously working to strengthen the education system through innovation while ensuring equal opportunities for all.
Commending the initiative, Sukhu described ‘Padhai with AI’ as a progressive step towards securing a better future for students. He noted that the digital platform would provide equal access to learning, ensure a fully digital education system, and offer continuous academic counselling. Deputy Commissioner Bilaspur Rahul Kumar explained that the project, supported by NTPC, is delivering modern, technology-driven, and quality educational facilities to students. Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani and other senior officials were also present.
The Chief Minister signed a Memorandum of Understanding with M/s Geotropy India Pvt. Ltd. to advance Himachal Pradesh’s vision of becoming a Green Energy State. The agreement was signed in the presence of Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and Iceland’s Ambassador to India, Benedikt Hoskuldsson. The MoU was formalised by Chief Engineer D.P. Gupt on behalf of the state government and Tomos Otto Hansson of Iceland-based GEOTROPY ehf.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to sustainable energy, Sukhu said Himachal Pradesh is actively exploring clean energy options, with geothermal energy being a promising and environment-friendly source. He highlighted the state’s strong geothermal potential and noted that its biggest advantage is round-the-clock availability. The Chief Minister directed the company to begin exploration immediately to harness this potential at the earliest.
