Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth, located within the Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra campus in Gandhinagar, on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. Named after Samrat Samprati, the grandson of Ashoka, the museum highlights the rich historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage of Jainism.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will also travel to Vav-Tharad, where he will launch, inaugurate, and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth over Rs 20,000 crore. Among these is the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, an access-controlled highway built at a cost exceeding Rs 5,100 crore. He will lay the foundation stone for several road infrastructure projects, including the four-lane Idar-Badoli bypass and the upgradation of the Dholavira-Mauvana-Vauva-Santalpur section of NH-754K into a two-lane paved shoulder road. Key urban projects include a flyover at Bhaijipura Junction on the Gandhinagar-Koba-Airport Road and another at PDPU Junction, both aimed at reducing congestion and improving traffic flow on a route that handles over 1.4 lakh vehicles daily.

In the energy sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate major transmission projects such as the Khavda Pooling Station-2 and related systems, built at an estimated cost of Rs 3,650 crore, to support the evacuation of 4.5 GW of renewable energy and strengthen grid capacity. Railway developments include the dedication of the Kanalus-Jamnagar doubling project, part of the larger Rajkot-Kanalus line, as well as the quadrupling of the Gandhidham-Adipur section. He will also inaugurate the Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma gauge conversion project and flag off a new train service connecting Khedbrahma, Himmatnagar, and Asarwa to improve regional connectivity.

The Prime Minister will launch 44 urban development projects worth around Rs 5,300 crore, along with various health initiatives, including an 858-bed Rain Basera facility at Civil Hospital in Asarwa, Ahmedabad, and similar facilities in Gandhinagar. Tourism projects to be inaugurated include a light and sound show at Rani ki Vav in Patan and a water screen projection show at Sharmishtha Lake in Vadnagar. Foundation stones will also be laid for tourism infrastructure at Balaram Mahadev and Vishweshwar Mahadev in Banaskantha.

Further, he will dedicate two major water pipeline projects worth about Rs 1,780 crore, including the Kasara-Dantiwada and Dindrol-Mukteshwar pipelines, and initiate a water supply scheme for Ambaji and nearby rural areas. The visit will also include the laying of foundation stones for three Sabarmati Riverfront expansion projects in Gandhinagar, with a combined investment of around Rs 1,000 crore, and the inauguration of a Government Boys Hostel at Vejalpur in Ahmedabad.
