On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes to the nation on the first anniversary of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He described the temple as a monumental symbol of India's cultural and spiritual heritage. In a post on X, he expressed, "Best wishes to all citizens on the first anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This temple, built after centuries of sacrifice, penance, and struggle, is a great testament to our culture and spirituality."
PM Modi further emphasized that he believes the grand and sacred Ram Temple will serve as an inspiration towards realizing the vision of a developed India.
The three-day anniversary celebrations began today, following the Hindu calendar’s alignment. Last year, the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony took place on Kurma Dwadashi, during the Shukla Paksha of Paush month. This year, the Shukla Paksha falls on January 11.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to inaugurate the event with the Abhishek of Ram Lalla. The day will start with Agnihotra and chanting mantras from the Shukla Yajurveda, followed by the recitation of 6 lakh Shri Ram Mantras, the Ram Raksha Stotra, and the Hanuman Chalisa.
From 3 pm to 5 pm, 'Rag Seva' will be held on the ground floor of the temple, and a congratulatory song will be performed at 6 pm. Musical Manas recitations will take place on the first floor of the passenger convenience center. The event will also include Ram Katha at 'Angad Tila' and a Manas Discourse, along with cultural performances.
As reported by the Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, more than 2 lakh devotees visited the temple on January 1 to offer their prayers. The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Lord Ram was conducted on January 22, 2024, with Prime Minister Modi performing the main rituals, unveiling the idol of Ram Lalla.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir is constructed in traditional Nagara style, measuring 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and 161 feet in height. It is supported by 392 pillars and 44 doors. The temple's intricately carved pillars and walls feature depictions of Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses. Inside the sanctum sanctorum, the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram, the idol of Shri Ram Lalla, is placed.
Since the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, millions of devotees have been flocking to Ayodhya, with the number of visitors to the Hanumangarhi Ram Temple growing steadily.
