Bhopal police have said that the death of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma was a case of suicide and not murder, amid growing public attention and allegations made by her family. Twisha Sharma, a resident of Noida, was found dead at her husband’s home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills area earlier this month. She had married advocate Samarth Singh in December last year. Since her death, the case has triggered widespread discussion on social media, with her family accusing her husband and in-laws of harassment and demanding a deeper investigation.

Speaking on the matter, Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanchari Mishra stated that the investigation conducted so far points towards suicide. According to officials, the post-mortem report and forensic evidence do not currently support claims of murder. Police sources said investigators examined the crime scene, medical findings, and digital records before arriving at the preliminary conclusion. Authorities also dismissed several rumours circulating online regarding conspiracy theories linked to the case.

The family of Twisha Sharma continues to question the investigation. Her relatives have alleged that she faced mental pressure and harassment after marriage. They have also demanded an independent probe outside Madhya Pradesh and called for a second post-mortem examination. The matter has become more serious as Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh, remains untraceable. Police teams have reportedly been formed to locate him, while legal proceedings in the case continue. His anticipatory bail plea was also rejected by a local court recently.

The case has sparked a larger debate around domestic pressure, mental health, and the handling of sensitive investigations involving married women. Several social media users and activists have demanded transparency in the investigation process. Police officials have maintained that the probe is still ongoing and any new evidence will be examined carefully. The Sharma family says they will continue their fight for what they call “complete justice” for Twisha.
