An Air India First Officer has tragically passed away in Bali after reportedly suffering a heart attack during a scheduled crew rest period, according to sources. The pilot, estimated to be around 40 years old, had operated a flight from Delhi to Bali the previous day and was staying at a hotel during the mandated layover when he began experiencing severe discomfort.

Sources stated that as his condition worsened, he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Upon examination, doctors confirmed that he had suffered a heart attack. Despite prompt medical intervention and sustained efforts by the healthcare team, the pilot could not be revived.

Air India is understood to be in close contact with the deceased pilot’s family and is extending all possible assistance and support during this time of grief. The airline has emphasized that the safety, health, and well-being of both its passengers and crew remain its highest priority.

Another official source revealed that the First Officer held a valid Class I medical certification and had successfully completed all mandatory medical examinations in line with regulatory requirements just a few months prior. There were no known pre-existing medical conditions reported. Additionally, he had been operating strictly within the flying-hour limitations set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Further details regarding the incident are awaited as authorities continue to gather more information.
