Actor and photographer Brad Everett Young has died in a crash at the age of 46.

Brad Everett Young, a Hollywood actor and photographer, has died in a crash at the age of 46. Known for his appearance in Grey’s Anatomy, Brad was travelling on the 134 Freeway in Los Angeles when his car was struck by another vehicle going the wrong way, his representative confirmed. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver was taken to hospital with injuries. Born on January 16, 1977, Brad was well regarded both as an actor and photographer. His photography was featured in leading publications such as Vanity Fair, Vogue, and The Hollywood Reporter, and he captured portraits of stars including David Harbour, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Seth Green.
As an actor, he appeared in shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Boy Meets World, and Charlie’s Angels. Beyond his screen and photography work, he also founded Dream Loud Official, a campaign focused on reviving arts and music education in schools across the U.S., describing creativity as an essential part of learning. His representative, Paul Christensen, told The Hollywood Reporter that Brad’s “passion for both the arts and the people behind them was unmatched,” adding that he truly lived his mission by working tirelessly to support the arts.
Tributes have poured in from across the entertainment world. General Hospital actor Chris McKenna shared photographs Brad had taken just weeks earlier, writing: “We won’t see another like him.” Fellow actor Parry Shan praised Brad’s kindness and positivity, noting he often turned down payment for his photography to support colleagues. Fans also remembered him warmly, calling him respectful, generous, and deeply committed to his craft. One tribute on X described him as “a lovely man” and another wrote that he would always be remembered for his photography and acting. Brad is survived by his brother, Chris.
