Actor-choreographer Prabhudeva is gearing up for his OTT debut with the crime-thriller series Sethurajan IPS, where he takes on the lead role of a cop investigating a complex murder case. Set in rural Tamil Nadu, the story follows Sethurajan IPS as he navigates a politically charged murder probe that unravels into a gripping conflict of power, justice, and identity.

Sony LIV recently unveiled the first look of the show, highlighting Prabhudeva’s intense and striking transformation. Speaking about the role, he said, “Sethurajan IPS isn’t just a cop; he’s a man caught between duty, politics, and personal identity. This has been one of the most challenging roles of my career. The story is both timely and necessary, and I’m proud to bring it to life with Sony LIV, which has always championed bold, rooted narratives.” Earlier this year, Prabhudeva reunited with industry friends from the Tamil and Telugu film worlds—KS Ravikumar, Shankar, Mohan Raja, Jagapathi Babu, Meka Srikanth, Tarun, Simran, Meena—for a nostalgic celebration of cinema and friendship during a Goa holiday in July 2025.

His last appearance was in Himesh Reshammiya’s musical spoof-action film Badass Ravi Kumar, directed by Keith Gomes, which featured an ensemble cast including Simona J, Kirti Kulhari, Sunny Leone, Sanjay Mishra, and others. Directed by Rafiq Ismail, Sethurajan IPS goes beyond the boundaries of a typical cop drama, offering a hard-hitting take on politics, justice, and power. The series will stream soon on Sony LIV, with the release date to be announced.
