Wreath-laying held for 10 Army jawans killed in Doda accident.

A wreath-laying ceremony was organised to honour the ten Army jawans who lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Senior officials, including Air Commodore A. Shridhar, IGP Jammu Zone Bhim Sen Tuti, and Lt Gen P. K. Mishra, GOC White Knight Corps, paid their respects during the ceremony.
The fallen soldiers were identified as Sowar Monu, Sowar Jobanjeet Singh, Sowar Mohit, DFR Shailendra Singh Bhadoriya, Sepoy Samiran Singh, Sepoy Pradumna Lohar, Sowar Sudhir Narwal, Naik Hare Ram Kunwar, Sepoy Ajay Lakra, and Sowar Rinkhil Baliyan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the incident, stating that the nation will always remember the jawans’ service and that all possible assistance is being extended to those affected.
The accident occurred in the Khanni Top area of Bhaderwah when an Army vehicle carrying troops for an operation skidded off the road amid harsh weather and difficult terrain. Ten personnel were killed and several others injured. Rescue teams from the Army and local administration responded swiftly, providing first aid before airlifting the injured to Udhampur for specialised treatment. Doda Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh said preliminary findings suggest that snow on the Bhaderwah Chamba road was the main cause of the accident. The bodies of the deceased jawans are being sent to their families, while medical care continues for the injured.
