Museums have always been home to intriguing stories and hidden mysteries, but things are about to get even more exciting at National Gallery Singapore. Partnering with Hidden, an award-winning immersive game company, the gallery is launching Framed: A Murder Mystery in National Gallery Singapore—an interactive AI chatbot-based experience that challenges visitors to solve a thrilling murder case.
Set to debut on March 1, this self-guided game will take players on a journey through the gallery, where they’ll solve puzzles, uncover secrets, and explore exhibits—all while trying to prove their innocence in a crime they’ve been framed for. According to Supriya Ghosh, the Gallery’s deputy director of business development, this game offers a fresh and engaging way for visitors to experience art and history. "Traditional tours often rely on guides or audio tours, but this game introduces an AI chatbot that acts as a hidden guide, revealing secret details about the Gallery," she explained.
Players will interact with Void Deck Cat, the AI chatbot, which will provide hints and guidance as they navigate through DBS Singapore Gallery, UOB Southeast Asia Gallery, and the ArchiGallery. The game can be played solo or in teams, and no additional apps are required. Designed to be played at the visitor’s own pace, the experience typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. As a reward, players can redeem a bookmark or postcard from The Gallery Store by ABRY. Tickets for Framed are priced at $29.90 per person, including general admission to the gallery. They are available for purchase on National Gallery Singapore’s website.
