Kolkata: Increased action against undocumented migrants in West Bengal has reportedly triggered movement of several people toward the India-Bangladesh border, with authorities closely monitoring the situation in border districts. According to officials, dozens of individuals gathered near border checkpoints in North 24 Parganas district over the last two days amid fears of detention and deportation. Security personnel, including the Border Security Force (BSF) and local police, have stepped up surveillance in sensitive areas to prevent illegal crossings and maintain law and order.
