President Murmu visited Tirupati and offered prayers at the Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple.

President Droupadi Murmu visited the Tirumala temple in Tirupati on Friday, where she offered prayers and sought the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. She was welcomed on arrival by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman and Additional EO. TTD later shared on X that the President had reached Tirumala and was received by its officials.
On Thursday, President Murmu also visited the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanur, where she prayed to Goddess Padmavathi. TTD officials greeted her with traditional honours and arranged her darshan. Another post on X confirmed her visit to the temple and the special arrangements made for her.
The President is currently on a tour of Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh from November 20 to 22. During her visit to Chhattisgarh earlier, she attended the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebrations in Ambikapur, Surguja, where she highlighted the significant role of tribal communities in India’s history. In a post on X, she noted that the welfare of tribal communities is a priority for the Government of India and pointed to various schemes created to support them.
At the state-level event honouring tribal freedom fighters, including Birsa Munda, President Murmu reiterated the Centre’s commitment to the empowerment of tribal communities. She also praised Chhattisgarh for its progress and cultural heritage, adding that she felt deeply connected to the state and acknowledging its closeness to Jharkhand and Odisha.
