Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly ordered a major reduction in the size of his official convoy and called for increased use of electric vehicles (EVs) in government operations as part of a wider austerity initiative aimed at reducing fuel consumption and cutting unnecessary expenditure.

According to reports, the Special Protection Group (SPG) has been directed to reduce the Prime Minister’s convoy strength by nearly half while maintaining all essential security protocols.
