One Battle After Another tops the Actor Awards nominations list.

One Battle After Another has firmly established itself as the biggest contender at this year’s Actor Awards, leading the field with an impressive and record-breaking total of seven nominations. The action thriller dominated the announcement with major recognition across multiple categories, including individual acting nominations for Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, and Benicio del Toro, making it the most celebrated film of this awards season.
DiCaprio is competing for the prestigious Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role award, where he faces formidable competition from Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, Michael B. Jordan for Sinners, and Jesse Plemons for Bugonia. On the leading actress side, Chase Infiniti earned a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and will go head-to-head with Jessie Buckley from Hamnet, Rose Byrne for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Kate Hudson for Song Sung Blue, and Emma Stone for Bugonia.
Close behind in the nominations race is Sinners, the widely praised horror film written and directed by Ryan Coogler, which secured five nominations in total. Michael B. Jordan, Miles Caton, and Wunmi Mosaku were all individually recognized for their performances. However, one of the night’s notable omissions was Hailee Steinfeld, who portrayed Jordan’s on-screen romantic interest but failed to receive a nomination.
Meanwhile, Frankenstein, Hamnet, and Marty Supreme each collected three nominations apiece, including recognition for the highly sought-after Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture award. In addition to the competitive race, the ceremony will honor Hollywood legend Harrison Ford with the Life Achievement Award. Ford, whose career includes iconic roles in the Indiana Jones and Star Wars franchises, will be celebrated for his enduring contribution to cinema.
The list of nominees was revealed by Abbott Elementary star Janelle James and Heated Rivalry actor Connor Storrie. The ceremony is scheduled to air on Netflix on March 1 and will mark the first presentation under its new name, Actor Awards, following the decision to retire the long-standing Screen Actors Guild Awards title. Organizers explained that the change was made to more clearly reflect the event’s mission of honoring acting in both film and television, ensuring stronger recognition among domestic and global audiences.
Beyond the film categories, the nominations highlight a competitive television landscape as well. Performers from productions such as The White Lotus, Severance, The Diplomat, Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, and The Studio received multiple nominations, reflecting the strength and diversity of this year’s television offerings. The stunt performance categories also attracted attention, with high-profile productions including Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, F1, The Last of Us, Stranger Things, and Squid Game recognized for their technical and action-driven achievements. With record-breaking nominations, intense competition across major acting categories, and the celebration of a legendary career, this year’s Actor Awards ceremony is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated and high-profile events of the entertainment calendar.
