The Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix is one of the most thrilling events of the year, but not everyone is lucky enough to secure tickets. Fortunately, missing out on the action doesn’t mean you have to stay away from the excitement. Around the city, there are several spots where you can catch the high-speed race, which runs from October 3 to 5 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, many of which are free.

For instance, the Esplanade has a rooftop terrace on its fourth level that offers panoramic views of the city and Marina Bay, making it an excellent place to watch the race. Fort Canning Park, situated on a hill, allows visitors to enjoy elevated views of the city and the track, though it tends to get busy, so arriving early is recommended. Gardens by the Bay also provides viewing opportunities, with areas like the Supertree Grove open to the public. For a more elevated perspective, visitors can head to the OCBC Skyway for a small fee.

The Helix Bridge, which links Marina Centre to Marina South, is another popular free spot. Located near the grandstands and F1 pit building, it offers great views of the final sector and the twists leading to the finish line. Marina Square’s rooftop garden on level three is free to access, and the food court on level four provides another convenient vantage point for those who want to enjoy a meal while watching. Millenia Walk is also close to the circuits, with its Link Bridge to Marina Square offering clear views of turn six, and the second floor near Harvey Norman serving as an alternative spot.

The National Gallery Singapore, located next to the Marina Bay Circuit and overlooking the Padang and Saint Andrew’s Road, features a rooftop terrace that gives a bird’s-eye view of the race. Meanwhile, the National Library, beyond its role as a repository of books, offers excellent views from its 12th floor, overlooking Raffles Avenue, the Esplanade Bridge, Suntec City, and Marina Bay. These locations ensure that even without tickets, fans can still experience the speed, thrills, and atmosphere of the Grand Prix.
