Union Minister Kiren Rijiju welcomed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s newly announced national team, describing it as a strong combination of experienced leadership and younger, energetic faces. He said the appointments reflect Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on broad and diverse representation within the party.

Speaking to ANI, Rijiju said he was pleased with the composition of the new team, noting that leaders from different states, regions and sections of society had been included. He also expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to work under Modi’s leadership. Addressing questions over why the announcement of the new office-bearers took time, Rijiju said there was no unusual delay. He explained that the Parliament session was underway, and such organisational decisions are generally announced outside the middle of a parliamentary session.

The BJP announced its revamped national team earlier in the day, bringing together a mix of senior leaders, younger politicians and increased representation of women. BL Santosh will continue as the party’s National General Secretary (Organisation). Among those appointed as National General Secretaries are Smriti Irani, Biplab Kumar Deb, Sunil Bansal, Vinod Tawde, Gajendra Patel, Satish Poonia, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia. The appointments come nearly six months after Nitin Nabin took over as BJP national president.

The party has also named a group of senior politicians as National Vice Presidents, including Vasundhara Raje, Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Jay Panda, D. Purandeshwari, Rekha Verma, Varsha Doshi, Bharti Pravin Pawar, Manpreet Singh Badal, Lal Singh Arya, Prof. M. Nagaraja, Prof. Tariq Mansoor and Madhuchandra Kar. Six of the 13 newly appointed vice presidents are women.

The BJP has also announced a new set of National Secretaries representing several states, including Kavita Patidar, K. Surendran, Bhola Singh, Pradip Varma, Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel, Sandeep Pathak, Phangnon Konyak, Sangeeta Yadav, Anil Antony, M. Venkateshan, Manoj Tigga, Siddharth Shambhu, Swadesh Singh, Mriganka Deo Barman, Rohan Gupta and Jai Prakash.

Piyush Goyal will continue as the party’s National Treasurer, while Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh has been given responsibility for the BJP’s Central Office. The party has also made appointments across its youth, women’s, media and digital wings. Hemang Joshi will head the Yuva Morcha, while Roop Kumari Choudhary will oversee the Mahila Morcha.

Lok Sabha MP Anil Baluni will continue as Media Convenor. Ashish Usha Agrawal, Pradeep Bhandari and Siddharth Yadav have been appointed as co-convenors, while Deepak Mhaskey has been named Social Media Convenor. The new appointments underline the BJP’s attempt to combine organisational experience with younger leadership and wider regional representation as the party prepares for its next phase of political and electoral activity.
