Jimmy Shergill and Divya Dutta Set to Lead Upcoming Family Drama 'Tum Rahe Na Tum'

Divya Dutta and Jimmy Shergill are set to share the screen in the upcoming family drama ‘Tum Rahe Na Tum’, a film inspired by acclaimed Swedish playwright August Strindberg’s landmark play The Father. Produced by Vinni Chawla and Sonu Katyal under the banner Fanatically Filmi Pvt Ltd, the movie adapts the psychological and emotional themes of Strindberg’s work to an Indian family backdrop.

The film explores complex issues such as love, control, insecurity, parental expectations, toxic masculinity and ego, while examining how these emotions and conflicts can gradually affect relationships within a family. Divya Dutta said the project appealed to her because its characters cannot easily be divided into heroes and villains. She described the story as layered and deeply human, with every character carrying their own perspective and flaws.

Jimmy Shergill also praised the film for its emotional depth, saying the story encouraged him to question perceptions and consider how two people can experience the same relationship in completely different ways. The supporting cast includes Harsh Chhaya, Zarina Wahab and Rajesh Jais, who will appear in key roles.
