India to Establish 40 Permanent Intelligence Bureau Offices In West Bengal-Bangladesh Border

In a major move to strengthen security along the eastern frontier, India is planning to establish 40 permanent subsidiary offices of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) in West Bengal’s border areas adjoining Bangladesh. The proposed IB offices will provide a permanent presence in strategically important locations along the India-Bangladesh border.
