The release date for the upcoming documentary “Dining with the Kapoors” was announced on Friday. This special brings together members of the Kapoor family — often regarded as Bollywood’s first film dynasty — for a rare on-screen reunion centered around conversations on family, food, and cinema.

Commemorating 100 years of the legendary Raj Kapoor and nearly a century of the Kapoor family’s legacy in Indian cinema, the documentary features Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Rima Jain, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and others. Together, they share personal stories, cherished memories, and candid moments from their family’s rich cinematic history.

Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix India, stated in a press note that Netflix has long championed India’s documentary storytelling, highlighting diverse voices and formats. She described Dining with the Kapoors as both “momentous and heartwarming,” celebrating Raj Kapoor’s centenary with “food, laughter, and love,” and offering viewers a taste of the Kapoor family’s signature humour, warmth, and legacy.

Creator Armaan Jain shared that making the documentary was deeply personal. “Bringing the Kapoor family together around one table unlocked generations of stories — the laughter, the chaos, the endless food, and the banter that’s part of our DNA. Dining with the Kapoors is my tribute to Nanaji (Raj Kapoor) and a celebration of the bond that keeps us united,” he said.
