The much-awaited film Border 2 has entered its third shooting schedule at the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune. New additions to the cast include Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, who now join Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan in the ensemble lineup. Directed by Anurag Singh and backed by a powerhouse production team, Border 2 is set to carry forward the legacy of the iconic 1997 film Border. Sunny Deol shared the update on social media with a photo featuring himself, Diljit, Varun, Ahan, along with producers Nidhi Dutta and Bhushan Kumar. His caption read, “When all ‘Forces’ come together! #BORDER2,” celebrating the start of the new schedule at NDA Pune.

Sunny also mentioned that producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, director Anurag Singh, and co-producers Shiv Chanana and Binoy Gandhi are actively involved as the film gains momentum. The film is scheduled for release on January 23, 2026. Border 2 is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar’s T-Series in association with JP Dutta’s JP Films.

Earlier in May, the production attracted attention in Uttarakhand when Banshidhar Tiwari, CEO of the Uttarakhand Film Vikas Parishad, visited the Dehradun set at Halduwala. He discussed the state's support for the film industry with Sunny Deol and praised the positive filming environment in the region. With a powerful cast and strong production backing, Border 2 is already creating a buzz ahead of its 2026 release.
