The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Friday arrested gangster Bandhu Man Singh, an India-Canada-based handler of the Goldy Dhillon gang, in Ludhiana for his alleged role in the conspiracy to attack actor-comedian Kapil Sharma's restaurant in Canada. Singh has multiple criminal cases against him and is linked to a series of weapons previously recovered by Delhi police. Authorities seized a Chinese pistol and cartridges from him.

He is believed to have supplied weapons and vehicles used in the attacks on Kapil Sharma's café. After returning to India, he was reportedly trying to rebuild the Goldy Dhillon gang network and arrange sophisticated weapons for future attacks. The vehicle used in the recent café shooting is said to have belonged to him.

Police are now probing international gang links, arms supply, funding, and potential targets. In October, Kapil’s café in Surrey, Canada, was targeted in another shooting around 3:45 a.m. Kulvir Sidhu, reportedly connected to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility on social media, stating the attack was a warning to those who cheat or speak against their religion. This marks the third attack on Kapil Sharma’s restaurant since July, following incidents on July 10 and August 8.
