Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam on September 8 to take part in multiple government events. CM Sarma stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Assam on September 8 and will participate in three official programmes.” In the meantime, PM Modi is scheduled to visit Bihar and West Bengal on Friday. At around 11:30 AM in Motihari, Bihar, he will lay foundation stones, inaugurate, and dedicate various development projects worth over ₹7,200 crore to the nation. These projects include Software Technology Parks, four new Amrit Bharat trains, road infrastructure, and more. He will also address a public gathering.

Sharing the update on social media platform X, PM Modi wrote, “Will be in Motihari, Bihar, tomorrow, 18th July. Development works worth ₹7,200 crore will be either inaugurated or have their foundation stones laid.” Later on the same day, the Prime Minister will travel to Durgapur, West Bengal, where he will launch and lay the foundation for several projects totaling over ₹5,000 crore. These span across sectors such as oil and gas, power, railways, and roads.

In another post on X, PM Modi said, “Looking forward to being with the people of West Bengal tomorrow, 18th July. In Durgapur, we will be launching and laying the foundation stones for projects worth more than ₹5,000 crore across various sectors.” While targeting the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, PM Modi accused the party of misgovernance, claiming that the people of the state are turning to the BJP with hope for genuine development. He also announced he will address a BJP rally in Durgapur on July 18, urging people to attend.
