The Central Bureau of Investigation registered a Disproportionate Assets case on February 26 against a former Chief General Manager of the Ordnance Equipment Factory in Hazratpur, Firozabad, who is currently posted at Troop Comforts Ltd. Training Academy in Kanpur, an official said on Saturday.

The officer, a 1998-batch Indian Ordnance Factory Services official, is accused of amassing wealth beyond his known sources of income between April 1, 2022, and December 31, 2025. Investigators allege he accumulated assets worth Rs 55,58,471, which is 73.28 percent more than his declared income, and has failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the excess. Following the registration of the case, the agency secured search warrants from a competent court and conducted raids on February 27, 2026, at five residential and office locations linked to him in Agra, Lucknow, Bareilly, and Kanpur.

During the searches, officials seized documents related to immovable properties, bank accounts, credit cards, and vehicles. Details of three residential properties in Agra, Lucknow, and Bareilly were obtained. The Agra flat was reportedly purchased in 2025, while the Lucknow property was acquired in 2023. Jewellery estimated at around Rs 49 lakh and cash worth Rs 5 lakh were recovered from his residences in Agra and Lucknow. Authorities also collected documents related to various expenditures and investments. Further investigation is ongoing.
