Bill Gates on Tuesday praised the rapid progress of Andhra Pradesh, describing it as inspiring to see the state’s growth being driven by artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technology. The Microsoft founder and chair of the Gates Foundation said it was encouraging to witness how innovation is accelerating development across multiple sectors.

Following his visit to Amaravati, Gates expressed admiration for the state’s forward-looking initiatives in healthcare, agriculture, and education. In a message posted on X, he thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the warm welcome and noted that AI-powered solutions and technology-led governance are significantly boosting progress across these key areas.

During his trip on Monday, Gates participated in discussions with the Chief Minister and senior officials, where he reviewed presentations showcasing the integration of technology into governance systems. He also visited a banana orchard situated along the banks of the Krishna River in Undavalli village of Guntur district, gaining firsthand insight into how innovation is being applied in agriculture.

Calling India a leader in the global digital transformation, Gates credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Naidu for their leadership in advancing technology-driven initiatives. He further praised Naidu’s long-term strategic vision, observing that a substantial number of IT professionals, including many working at Microsoft, originate from the Telugu-speaking states.
