Security forces uncovered a significant stockpile of arms and ammunition in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, according to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Inspector General Assam Rifles (North). Acting on specific intelligence regarding the presence of weapons in the MS 38 area along the Miao-Vijaynagar route, units of the Assam Rifles under Spear Corps initiated a thorough search operation. The operation deployed specialized teams, advanced equipment, and tracker dogs. As a result, six weapons were recovered, including two AK-series rifles, one Lathode, one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher, one locally made 7.62mm rifle, along with ammunition and other military supplies.

Meanwhile, in Manipur, security forces apprehended 10 members of valley- and hill-based militant groups and seized 35 weapons, 11 improvised explosive devices (IEDs), grenades, and other combat-related materials. These arrests came during a series of intelligence-driven operations carried out between July 7 and July 14 across various districts, including Kangpokpi, Bishnupur, Tengnoupal, Imphal West, and Imphal East. The operations involved coordinated efforts by the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Manipur Police, CRPF, BSF, and ITBP.

Earlier, from the night of July 3 to the morning of July 4, security forces conducted widespread searches in the hill districts of Manipur. Acting on intelligence inputs about hidden weapon caches, joint teams launched simultaneous operations in Tengnoupal, Kangpokpi, Chandel, and Churachandpur. These efforts led to the recovery of 203 weapons, including SLRs, pistols, carbines, sniper rifles, and assault rifles, along with grenades and IEDs. Additionally, on June 5, following a tip-off, security forces launched a patrol in the Pongchau Circle of Longding district in Arunachal Pradesh, near the Indo-Myanmar border.
