Angry Mumbai Woman Tells State Minister to Leave During Rally Confrontation

A commuter in Mumbai confronted Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan and local police after a political rally led to severe traffic congestion in the Worli area. The disruption occurred during a protest march organised by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party under the Mahayuti alliance. The rally was aimed at the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, including the Congress and its partners. It was reportedly held to protest the failure of the Women’s Reservation Bill to pass in Parliament due to a lack of majority support.
Scheduled to begin at 5 pm, the march drew a large number of women participants who raised slogans against the opposition. The planned route started at Jambhori Maidan and ended at the Dome, passing through a densely populated area known for heavy traffic flow. However, delays in the start of the event resulted in major traffic gridlock across the locality.
A woman, who was on her way to pick up her child from school, found herself stuck in traffic for several hours. Frustrated by the situation, she stepped out of her car and walked into the rally, directly confronting the minister. She questioned the inconvenience caused to the public and demanded that the gathering be moved, pointing out that there was open space nearby.
Her frustration also extended to the police when they attempted to intervene. She argued with officers and insisted on speaking to senior officials. Eventually, the police escorted her aside and listened to her concerns. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention.
