India triumphed once again on the shooting range by clinching the gold medal in the womens 50m rifle team event at the prestigious Asian Shooting Championship 2025 held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. Spearheaded by the remarkable Olympian and world record holder Sift Kaur Samra, the Indian trio, including Anjum Moudgil and Ashi Chouksey, showcased a blend of precision, nerves of steel, and teamwork to outshoot strong contenders like Japan and South Korea.
Sift Kaur Samra’s outstanding performance was pivotal; she shot an impressive 589, leading the team to a combined total of 1753 points. Ashi Chouksey followed closely with 586, while the experienced Anjum Moudgil contributed a solid 578, collectively securing the top podium spot by a narrow margin over Japan’s 1750 points.
