Madhya Pradesh Police arrest 18 people in a gambling raid in Indore, recovering cash worth Rs. 13.67 lakh.

Indore Police arrested 18 individuals in a gambling raid at a farmhouse in Abalipura village, under the Manpur police station area of Indore district. During the operation, authorities seized Rs. 13.67 lakh in cash, around 30 mobile phones, playing cards, and two cars allegedly used by the accused to reach the location. The raid followed a tip-off from an informant about gambling activities at the farmhouse. DSP Rural Umakant Choudhary stated that when police arrived, the farmhouse was locked from the outside, with several people inside. Police detained 18 individuals on the spot and seized the cash, mobile phones, playing cards, and vehicles.
Several others managed to flee during the raid. Police have identified six more individuals connected to the gambling activities, including the caretaker of the farmhouse, and action is being taken against them under the Gambling Act. People from multiple districts were reportedly involved in the illegal gambling. Authorities are continuing their investigation to trace all individuals involved and gather further details about the operation.
The raid highlights ongoing law enforcement efforts to curb illegal gambling in the region. Police officials have urged citizens to report any suspicious activities to ensure public safety and compliance with the law.
