During his official visit to India, US Pacific Air Forces Commander General Kevin B. Schneider met Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh as both nations continued to strengthen their defence cooperation. The Indian Air Force shared on X that General Schneider paid tribute at the National War Memorial, received a ceremonial Guard of Honour, and held discussions with senior IAF leadership.
The visit follows Air Chief Marshal Singh’s recent trip to the United States, where he was hosted by US Air Force Chief of Staff General Ken Wilsbach at the Pentagon on April 10. Their discussions focused on mutual support and future collaboration. Singh was given a full honours reception at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and met senior officials, including Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink and General Wilsbach.
US Air Force leaders reiterated the importance of their defence partnership with India, highlighting its role in maintaining a free, open, and stable Indo-Pacific region. General Wilsbach commended India’s active participation in multilateral exercises and stressed the importance of expanding such cooperation to strengthen regional deterrence.
He also welcomed India’s acquisition of MQ-9B Sky Guardian drones and assured support for their smooth integration into Indian operations. Additionally, he expressed the US Air Force’s willingness to assist in the modernisation of the Indian Air Force through deeper defence industrial collaboration. During the US visit, Air Chief Marshal Singh also flew in a Boeing F-15EX Eagle II at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada alongside Major Matthew Benson. The flight offered him firsthand experience of one of the US Air Force’s most advanced fighter aircraft, known for its role in maintaining air superiority and supporting Indo-Pacific operations.
