Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh extended his congratulations to Jahnavi Dangeti on being selected for NASA's space mission.

Andhra Pradesh’s Education Minister, Nara Lokesh, met astronaut candidate Jahnavi Dangeti at her residence in Undavalli on Wednesday. Jahnavi, originally from Palakollu in the West Godavari district, has been selected as an astronaut candidate by the US-based private aerospace company, Titans Space. She has made history as the first Telugu woman from India chosen for a space mission. During the visit, Lokesh congratulated Jahnavi on her outstanding accomplishment and lauded her for bringing pride to the state as a Telugu daughter. He also assured her of the state governments full support for her future endeavors.
In a post on X, Lokesh shared, “I met Jahnavi Dangeti, a native of Palakollu, who was selected for the Titan Space Mission by an American private company. She has earned the unique distinction of being the first Telugu woman from India to travel to space. I congratulated her and praised her as a symbol of pride for our state. I also assured her that the government will extend every possible encouragement. I requested her to join us in the Education Department’s STEM outreach efforts.”
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer also extended his congratulations to Jahnavi Dangeti for becoming the first Indian to complete NASA’s esteemed International Air and Space Program. A post on the Andhra Governor’s official X account stated, “Governor S. Abdul Nazeer congratulates Ms. Dangeti Jahnavi from Palakollu, West Godavari district, for being India’s youngest analog astronaut and the first Indian to complete NASA’s prestigious International Air and Space Program.” Jahnavi is set to participate as an astronaut candidate in the EarthLoop Orbital Cruise Mission, organized by Titans Space, scheduled for launch in March 2029.
