Religious speaker and storyteller Sadhvi Prem Baisa died under unclear circumstances in Rajasthan after her health suddenly worsened, prompting authorities to order a post-mortem examination, police said. Addressing the media in Jodhpur, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Chhavi Sharma stated that Sadhvi Baisa was unwell on Wednesday night, following which her family called a private compounder for treatment. After the compounder administered an injection, her condition reportedly deteriorated further. She was then rushed to a private hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. ACP Sharma confirmed that a medical board has been formed to conduct the post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
Police are also examining circumstances surrounding Sadhvi Baisa’s final social media activity. Responding to queries about her last Instagram post, in which she wrote that “Sanatan resides in my heart till my last breath” and referred to “agni pariksha,” ACP Sharma said investigators do not yet have complete information about who was managing her account or who had access to it. This aspect is currently under investigation.
Sadhvi Baisa spoke at length about her devotion to Sanatan Dharma, describing it as the guiding force of her life. She wrote that she dedicated every moment to its propagation and expressed gratitude to saints and spiritual leaders who, she said, blessed her throughout her journey. The post also mentioned her faith in divine justice and her belief that truth would prevail, even if justice did not come during her lifetime. Her brother has demanded justice and called for a thorough and transparent investigation. He said the family wants all necessary medical and legal steps taken to uncover the truth behind her death. Police said further details will emerge as the investigation progresses.
