Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Wednesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government of imposing an “unofficial emergency” after party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were sent to five-day judicial custody for allegedly trespassing at Jantar Mantar. Dipke questioned their detention, citing their display of the national flag, and reaffirmed his commitment to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's constitutional ideals. He also said the CJP's campaign shares common goals with the INDIA bloc despite remaining an independent pressure group.
