Australian High Commissioner to India Philip Green has backed wider access to cochlear implants, saying the technology can transform the lives of children with severe hearing loss. During a visit to the I Can Hear Foundation, Green stressed the importance of early hearing screening and timely treatment. He also highlighted the need for audiologists, parents and rehabilitation services to support children after implantation. Green said India and Australia could work together to expand access to hearing technologies and help more children overcome the challenges of profound hearing loss.
