Army Chief General Seth Calls for Constant Vigilance and Intelligence-Driven Operations in J&K

Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth has directed security forces to maintain constant vigilance and strengthen intelligence-led operations in Jammu and Kashmir amid continuing terrorist threats. Gen. Seth visited forward areas in north and central Kashmir, including Kupwara and Budgam, on September 25 and reviewed the operational preparedness of Rashtriya Rifles units under the Chinar Corps. He was briefed on the prevailing security situation and ongoing counter-terrorism measures. The Army chief praised troops for their professionalism and commitment, while urging them to improve intelligence gathering and remain prepared for swift and precise responses to emerging threats. Gen. Seth also stressed close coordination among security agencies to improve situational awareness and strengthen counter-terror operations. During the visit, deserving soldiers received commendations for gallantry and exemplary service. The review comes amid sustained operations across north and central Kashmir. Security forces continue to focus on eliminating terrorist hideouts and preventing infiltration through the Pir Panjal range and adjoining forest areas.
