Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has praised the devotional film ‘Hanuman Ansh’ and encouraged audiences to watch it in theatres. The movie is based on the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, who is popularly revered by his followers as Maharaj Ji. ‘Hanuman Ansh’ was released in theatres last month but initially received limited attention. The film, however, began gaining visibility after viewers shared positive feedback and recommended it to others. Sehwag has now joined those appreciating the movie and its portrayal of Neem Karoli Baba.

In a video shared on social media, Sehwag spoke about his personal interest in Neem Karoli Baba and the impact his teachings have had on people. He also mentioned that some of his closest friends are devotees of Neem Karoli Baba.

Sehwag recalled being introduced to Neem Karoli Baba through a friend around a decade ago. Since then, he said he has continued to hear stories and read about the spiritual leader, developing a deep interest in his personality, devotion and influence on his followers. According to Sehwag, the teachings associated with Neem Karoli Baba have had a transformative effect on many people's lives. He spoke about the saint's ability to encourage people to look within themselves and understand their true nature.

Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, ‘Hanuman Ansh’ explores the life and spiritual teachings of Neem Karoli Baba. The filmmaker has focused on themes associated with his philosophy, including love, devotion and selfless service. Neem Karoli Baba is regarded by many devotees as an incarnation of Lord Hanuman.

The film is also expanding its reach beyond India. ‘Hanuman Ansh’ is scheduled to release in international markets on September 11, with Hombale Films handling its overseas distribution.
