Vice Chief of the Army Staff, Lt Gen NS Raja Subramani, unveils the 'Vendor Registration Application'.

Vice Chief of the Army Staff, Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, on Thursday launched the 'Vendor Registration Application', a digital platform developed jointly by the Indian Army and the Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N). The Additional Directorate General of Public Information, IHQ of MoD (Army), shared the announcement on X, highlighting that the application provides a secure and digitised solution for vendors of the Army Purchase Organisation to complete their registration.
Harnessing blockchain technology, the platform replaces traditional manual registration methods — often burdened with multiple verification layers and paperwork — with an entirely online and automated system. This transformation brings greater transparency, efficiency, and ease of business with minimal human intervention.
A note shared in the post emphasized that the application serves as a bridge between vendors and the Army Purchase Organisation, aligning with the Indian Army’s "Year of Transformation". Developed in collaboration between the Directorate General of Supplies and Transport and BISAG-N, the platform guarantees secure, transparent, and tamper-proof interactions, while also supporting real-time tracking of applications, raising redressals, and addressing feedback simultaneously.
The app eliminates bureaucratic delays and physical documentation, instead relying on API-based verifications from authoritative sources such as FSSAI, GST, GS1, Trademark Authority, and ULIP to ensure up-to-date and reliable information. This initiative aims to broaden the vendor base, especially encouraging small businesses and startups to participate in the Indian Army’s supply chain. The application marks a step toward building a more agile and inclusive procurement system while upholding the Army Service Corps’ motto, “Seva Asmakam Dharma”, and contributing to the overall transformation goals set by the Chief of Army Staff.
