The Prime Minister conducted a roadshow in Varanasi and visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to offer prayers.

Narendra Modi led a roadshow in Varanasi on Wednesday morning, marking the second day of his two-day visit, with large crowds gathering along the route, according to party leaders. The procession began at Banaras Locomotive Works and moved through key areas including Lahartara, Kachahri, Ambedkar Chauraha, Chaukaghat, Teliyabag, Lahurabir, and Maidagin, before concluding at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
At the temple, Modi performed prayers and rituals accompanied by Vedic chants. Afterward, local representatives welcomed him with traditional items such as a trishul, damru, and a ceremonial stole, which he acknowledged while greeting those present. As he exited the temple complex, chants of “Har Har Mahadev” echoed from the crowd, and Modi responded by waving and folding his hands. He also briefly engaged with children at the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.
Arvind Mishra noted that residents and party workers lined the entire route, eager to see the prime minister. Supporters raised slogans like “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai Shri Ram,” while welcoming him with flower petals, drumbeats, and conch shells at various points. The roadshow, covering roughly 14 kilometres, is being described by party leaders as one of the largest in the city, with heavy crowds visible throughout. Following his visit to his parliamentary constituency, Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Ganga Expressway later the same day.
