At least six Baloch men from different areas of Balochistan and Karachi have reportedly been detained by Pakistani security forces and are currently missing, according to accounts provided by their families and reported by The Balochistan Post. The incidents have taken place over the past several days and involve individuals from varied backgrounds, age groups, and professions.

One of the reported cases involves Asadullah Kurd, a 25 year old student who lived in the Baloch Colony area of Quetta. Family members stated that he was taken into custody at around 2 am on 5 February 2026 from the Brewery Road locality. Since that time, they say they have received no information about his location or condition.

In a separate incident in Karachi, Waleed, a 30 year old cook and a resident of Lyari, was allegedly detained from his home at approximately 2 am on 3 January 2026. According to his relatives, he has not been seen or contacted since his detention, and his whereabouts remain unknown. Another reported case concerns Khuda Bakhsh, an 18 year old student from Gaddani in the Hub area. He was reportedly detained in Karachi at around 10 am on 2 February 2026. His family has stated that they have not been informed about where he was taken or why he was detained.

Yasir Arafat, a 25 year old resident of Mashkay in Awaran district, was also reportedly detained in Karachi. Like the others, he has remained missing since the incident, and no official details have been shared with his family. Residents of Jiwani reported that Pakistani security forces carried out late night raids in the Ghotri Bazaar and Kausar Bazaar areas. During these operations, two men identified as Siraj, son of Ghafoor, and Zahid, son of Abdul Rehman, were reportedly detained and taken to an undisclosed location. Both individuals have reportedly been missing since the raids.

Pakistani authorities have not issued any official statements regarding these reported detentions or the current status of the individuals involved. Human rights organizations and families of the missing men have expressed serious concern and have called on the authorities to disclose information about their whereabouts. They have also urged that any actions taken against the individuals follow proper legal procedures. Rights groups have long raised concerns about alleged enforced disappearances in Balochistan and among Baloch communities living in other parts of Pakistan, a pattern that these recent reports have once again brought into focus.
