Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s highly anticipated film Parasakthi has finally hit theatres following the issuance of its censor certificate, sparking excitement among fans across Tamil Nadu. The release day turned into a festive occasion, with celebrations unfolding outside cinema halls. Adding to the buzz, Sivakarthikeyan made an appearance at a Chennai theatre on the morning of the release, thrilling the crowd.

Footage from the event shows the actor being welcomed with cheers, whistles, and flower garlands as he greeted fans and marked the film’s debut. His presence generated immense enthusiasm, with fans calling out to him and expressing their admiration. Sivakarthikeyan took a moment to interact with the crowd and thanked them for their support. Across the state, theatres were alive with festivity. Posters of Sivakarthikeyan were decked with garlands, drums echoed through the streets, and fans danced with joy, showcasing the deep connection they share with the actor and his films.

Parasakthi had faced delays in recent days due to censor issues. On Friday, the makers announced the CBFC clearance on social media, stating: “A fire that speaks to all ages #Parasakthi censored with a U/A – hitting theatres worldwide from tomorrow.” Written and directed by Sudha Kongara, the film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela in lead roles. The recently released trailer offers a glimpse of a politically charged narrative focusing on Tamil Nadu’s resistance to Hindi imposition.

The three-minute, sixteen-second trailer begins with Sivakarthikeyan confronting Ravi Mohan on a train rooftop. He plays a grounded character, a coal tosser at the Indian Railways. The trailer showcases intense protests against the Central Government’s Hindi imposition. Atharvaa Murali portrays the younger brother of Sivakarthikeyan’s character, whose choice to join the agitation initially strains family ties. Sivakarthikeyan delivers a compelling performance, with impactful dialogues and engaging chemistry with Sreeleela.
