Veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor has strongly reacted to fake rumours about his death that recently went viral on social media. Calling the reports “completely false,” the actor reassured fans that he is safe, healthy, and doing well. Kapoor also expressed disappointment over the spread of misinformation online and warned that he would take legal action against those responsible.

In a video shared on his official Instagram account, Shakti Kapoor addressed his followers directly and urged them not to believe the rumours. He said, “Hello everyone, the news about my death is fake. I am healthy and happy. Please ignore such false reports. I will file a cyber complaint because spreading this kind of news is not good.” His statement quickly gained attention, with fans and fellow actors showing support and relief after hearing from him personally.

Shakti Kapoor remains one of Bollywood’s most recognised character actors, known for his memorable comic and villainous performances. Over a career spanning several decades, he has appeared in more than 700 films and became especially popular during the 1980s and 1990s. Some of his best-known movies include Raja Babu, Andaz Apna Apna, ChaalBaaz, Coolie No. 1, Judwaa, Satte Pe Satta, and Bol Radha Bol.

The actor was recently seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, directed by Mudassar Aziz, starring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Bhumi Pednekar. Before that, he also appeared in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s blockbuster Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna.
