Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, praising him as "a blend of talent and tradition." The meeting, described as "memorable," featured discussions on music, culture, and India's vibrancy, including the significance of yoga. Following the interaction, Diljit expressed his gratitude on X, calling it a "fantastic" start to 2025. He wrote, "A fantastic start to 2025. A very memorable meeting with PM @narendramodi Ji. We talked about many things, including music, of course!"

PM Modi responded warmly, calling the exchange "a great interaction." He said, "A great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh! He's truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture, and more." During the meeting, PM Modi commended Diljit’s accomplishments, remarking, "When a boy from a small village in 'Hindustan' shines on the global stage, it feels amazing. Your name, Diljit, truly reflects how you win people’s hearts."

Diljit shared his thoughts on India's greatness, saying, "We used to read 'Mera Bharat Mahan' (My India is great), but travelling across India made me understand why people truly believe this."

PM Modi highlighted India's diversity as its strength, adding, "India’s vastness is its greatest asset. We are a vibrant society." Diljit also emphasized the transformative power of yoga, calling it "India's greatest magic." PM Modi agreed, saying, "Those who have experienced yoga understand its power."

The singer-actor also reflected on PM Modi’s personal journey, admiring his humility. "I’ve seen your interviews, sir. The position of Prime Minister is great, but behind it is a mother, a son, and a human being. Your connection with your mother and the sacred Ganga truly touches the heart," Diljit said.

Separately, PM Modi extended his wishes for a prosperous 2025 on X, encouraging optimism and personal growth. He wrote, "Happy 2025! May this year bring everyone new opportunities, success, and endless joy. May everybody be blessed with wonderful health and prosperity." Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh recently wrapped up his Dil-Luminati tour in India with a spectacular finale in Ludhiana. Throughout the tour, he addressed key social issues during his performances.
